Self-hypnosis is the independent practice of hypnosis either with or without pre-recorded guidance.
Some people can put themselves into a hypnotic trance through meditation or deep, relaxation exercises and then give themselves the suggestions or affirmations consistent with the goals they are looking to achieve. Many people prefer listening to guided hypnosis by a hypnotherapist and hearing someone else’s voice reinforce the suggestions and affirmations that are consistent with their goals.
